Description This Anchor Post has been designed to provide a Temporary Fall Protection Anchorage for anyone working on top of a Shipping Container. The Post is compatible with all ISO certified containers and provides an elevated anchorage point reducing fall clearance requirements. For Work Restraint it allows two posts to be connected by a Horizontal Lifeline allowing access to the full area of the Containers roof when the User/Operative is connected to the Horizontal Lifeline with an Adjustable Lanyard or Adjustable Work Positioning Lanyard. INSTALLATION Container Anchor Post is supplied with a side lock & tag line arrangement for secure installation by one person only and it can be removed without damaging the container. 1) Pull the lateral lock (3) upward using the locking/unlocking lever (2) so that the post can be inserted into an ISO corner casting of the container. Make sure that the stabilising screws are in the up/loosened position. 2) Insert the lower attachment plate (4) into an ISO corner casting of the container designed for this purpose. 3) After insertion, keep the locking/unlocking lever pulled AND, while keeping the post slightly «raised», rotate it 90 ° into the ISO corner casting of the container. 4) Place the post on the ISO corner casting, and release the locking/unlocking lever. This will lock the anchorage post into the container and will prevent it from accidentally coming out of the structure. 5) Tighten the two stabilising screws (5). Please note that these components do not contribute to the strength of the post, they only help to keep it stable during use. The Anchor Post has been horizontally load tested so that two Posts can be connected using a Temporary Horizontal Lifeline which provides a Work Restraint System along the whole length of the shipping container. This has the benefit of offering mobility on the whole area of the Container roof. Operatives connect to the Horizontal Lifeline using an Adjustable work positioning lanyard which means that they can work in Restraint accessing the opposite leading edge by tensioning the lanyard. The major benefit of this system is that the operative can work along the whole length of the container without clipping- off and on between Anchor Points. When working in the corner of Containers roof the Anchor Post also works as a single-user connection point for a short length Retractable Fall Arrest device. COMPONENT DATA Static strength as per EN 795:2012 Type B : 12 kN Minimum breaking strength of the system: 15 kN Conforms to EN795:2012 Type B Weight: 14.53kg Anchor Point for connecting Horizontal Lifelines, Fall Arrestors or Webbing Demarcation Lines.
