Description Portable Anchor Point for Doors & Windows The Door & Window portable anchorage device is designed for those working on balconies or similar exposed leading edges where a door or window opening presents the only solid surface to provide anchorage resistance for someone working in a full body harness. This Clamp device is portable and simple to use consisting of a steel bar with a fixed end point at one end and a sliding end point offering adjustment for door or window openings from 350mm – 1240mm in width. This Clamp is designed for horizontal use only and will not offer resistance if used vertically. This is a single person Anchorage device suitable for Work Restraint or Fall Arrest when used with compatible Lanyards or Adjustable Work Positioners. We do not advise the use of Fall Arrestors in a horizontal direction as the lifeline is likely to break if subjected impact on a hard edge . This Clamp works more effectively when placed just above the floor. The overall dimensions of this Door & Window Clamp are 1415 x 150 x 100mm weighing 6.9kg making it portable for short duration applications. Certification : EN795 : 2012 Class B Maintenance and Service period. This Door & Window Anchor is supplied with an inspection card, it is recommended that the user inspects the device before each use. It is the legal obligation of the owner to have this Door & Wall Anchor inspected by a suitably qualified person annually ( Periodic Detailed Inspection ). It must be immediately withdrawn from use if involved in a Fall incident.
