PETZL COEUR PULSE – REUSABLE FALL PROTECTION ANCHOR

Description PETZL COEUR PULSE ANCHOR COEUR PULSE    REUSABLE POST-DRILLED ANCHOR 12mm Certification : EN795 Class B COEUR PULSE is a removable and reusable stainless-steel anchor for fall protection. It is designed for supporting Temporary Horizontal Lifelines also known as Running-Lines or as a single user anchor point for the attachment of Retractable Fall Arrestors, or Safety Lanyards / Work Restraint or Energy-Absorbing Types. Made from 3mm thick steel with a wide rounded connection hole that prevents damage to Karabiner’s and connectors  even after repeated clipping. The locking function limits the risk of involuntary removal.   Pre-Use Inspection of a Coeur Pulse Anchor Check that the main shaft is not twisted, bent or dirty. Ensure that the wedge plates on each side of the shaft are not fouled and run smoothly along the shaft. If you are in any doubt please contact us. This anchor should be used in concrete that has achieved strength of 50mpa (7200 psi). It is important that you use a 12mm * Drill Bit with four cutting edges to ensure a round hole. Do not use a half-inch Drill Bit, this will cut a 12.7mm diameter hole which is too large for this anchor. Align the Drill 90 degrees to the concrete face and avoid moving or tilting which will enlarge the hole. The required depth of hole is 65mm located no closer than 1000mm to the edge of the concrete   When inserted into the hole, there should be a clear gap between the Yellow release plunger and the connection hanger. This space indicates that the wedge plates are properly contacting the concrete inside the hole.   If an oversized hole is drilled the yellow plunger will touch the hanger plate which means that the anchor is not achieving the required strength.   When the Anchor is inserted and is resistant to pulling, lock the plunger by screwing the black cap. This reduces the chance of accidental removal but does not affect the strength for performance of the anchor. ANCHOR LOAD TESTING We recommend load testing for any anchor device that is reliant upon friction from the concrete into which it is fixed before a Fall Arrest System is connected to it.
