Description The Portable Lifeline System is an anchorage system for Work Restraint It is useful for erecting suspended slab falsework and formwork decking because it provides a large working area from one suspended lifeline. Portable Lifeline System offers benefits over using Alsipercha Systems Work Restraint is higher up the Work at Height Hierarchy than Fall Arrest. The limitations of Alsipercha as anchor points are misunderstood and its small coverage area is often exceeded putting those connected to it at risk of of injury in the event of a fall from ineffective fall arrestors and pendulum swing. The Portable Lifeline System can anchor horizontal lifelines up to 50 metres in length so if an operative is connected to the lifeline using a 10 metre work positioning lanyard they have a safe working area of 1000 square metres. Portable Lifeline System can be used in the following ways. Insitu concrete frame Embed cast-in sockets into the top of columns, exactly the same as uning Alsipercha, but because a Horizontal Lifeline offers a much larger working area, the sockets will be required in far less columns. Precast frame Portable adjustable bases can be positioned on concrete floor units perpendicular to the progression of laying further slabs with installers connected to the lifeline working parallel to it. The offers an advantage over Deadweight anchors because it raises the lifeline height and avoids floor level trip hazards or damage from being run-over. The Portable Lifeline System also has a Base Socket that is anchored onto concrete using 10mm Reusable Anchors which we strongly advise load- testing pre-use. HORIZONTAL LIFELINES
