An uncomfortable Safety Harness will distract its wearer because it can annoy them and reduce their trust in it. Those wearing a properly fitting harness are more likely to wear them as the manufacturer intended benefitting from maximum protection. Safety Harnesses are designed to keep workers connected to their Lanyards or Fall Arrestors and positioned upright if a fall occurs. If a harness is ill-fitting or worn incorrectly, the straps may be too tight or move into the wrong place after a fall. It may also cause injuries during or after the fall, complicating rescue efforts. A properly fitting harness will give your worker more control over their position and movement, giving you more time to reach them before their health suffers. PRE-USE INSPECTION- SAFETY HARNESSES Safety harnesses should be inspected before each use to ensure they are in good condition and safe to use. Additionally, they should undergo a thorough inspection by a competent person at least every twelve months, or more frequently if subjected to heavy use or harsh conditions.
