Description COMPONENT DESCRIPTION Temporary Horizontal Lifeline- 20 mtrs. BSEN 795 : 2012 Type C A Temporary Horizontal Lifeline or Running-Line is the primary anchorage connector in any Work Restraint System. It is used to link two anchorage points together and provides a lightweight and easily installed anchorage solution for leading edge environments typically the external perimeters of buildings under construction. Suitable Anchor points could be part of the structure, eg. Columns which can carry a Webbing or Steel Sling or EN795 compliant anchor Devices eg Scissorsafe Cast-IN Anchors or Post-Drilled equivalents eg Pulse Reusable Anchors. Temporary Horizontal Lifelines are quick to install. They consist of a length of webbing with a ratchet tensioner that adjusts and tensions the lifeline to a maximum working length of 20 metres with sewn loops at both ends for connection to anchorage slings and connectors.. An Integral storage bag holds excess webbing and provides UV protection when the lifeline is not in use. Scissorsafe supplied Temporary Lifelines are suitable for 4 x simultaneous user’s when working strictly in Restraint. We do not advise using a temporary Horizontal Lifeline in a Fall Arrest System. Certification : EN795 class B Portable Anchorage device for Fall Protection WHAT IS A WORK RESTRAINT SYSTEM A Temporary Work Restraint System is used to protect those working on open edge of structures when temporary edge protection is not in place. It protects those using it by restricting their movement within a safe working zone, preventing them from reaching the fall hazard. Work Restraint is placed in the work at height hierarchy as the preferred method for fall prevention when collective measures are not in place. A common example of this is when unitised façade systems are installed onto the side of structures where a Temporary edge protection system prevents access for installers to the edge of the floors for fixing brackets and panels so a Temporary Work Restraint System – often called Running-lines will be installed inside the structure, running parallel to the edge of the slab offering an unobstructed restraint for several installers simultaneously. PRE-USE INSPECTIONS Type C anchor device An anchor device employing a flexible anchor line which deviates from the horizontal by not more than 15° (when measured between the extremity and intermediate anchors at any point along its length), e.g. temporary horizontal flexible anchor line TRAINING
