Description Rope type and diameter : 12mm Kermantle Maximum user weight: 140kg An Adjustable Work Positioning Lanyard – also known as a Rope and Grab is used to protect a person working on an open edge when connected directly to an Anchor point or as part of a Work restraint system. It allows the person using the lanyard to tension the lanyard easily by working the grab which operates on a one way cam that prevents forward movement when adjusted and locked. Work Positioning Lanyards and Work Restraint Lanyards are designed to hold the user in restraint, so a fall cannot occur. They can only fulfil this function is the wearer applies tension to them to the extent that they cannot fall from their working position. This can mean constant adjustment during the course of their work task. Typically an Adjustable Work Positioning Lanyard is used when the Anchor point is 2 metres from the open edge and are available up to 20 metres in length, typically for working on industrial roofs. This Adjustable Work Positioning Lanyard kit includes additional components including a Short Restraint lanyard that connects between the Wearers Safety Harness and the Rope Grab Adjuster. This places the adjuster 500mm from the wearer’s harness connection point allowing them to connect and disconnect without assistance. It also includes a large karabiner that runs along a Horizontal Lifeline without wearing the side of the webbing out. COMPONENT FEATURES Adjustable work positioning lanyards are the most effective connecting device between a Curtain-Wall Installers Safety Harness and Running Line, typically set 2 metres back from the leading edge. By adding a short fixed Lanyard to the grab adjuster, the wearer can connect and disconnect comfortably and adjust the length of rope using the grab at arms length. ADJUSTMENT Adjustment is achieved along the length of the rope using Grab which houses a camlock that grips the rope when held in tension. CONNECTION A large Karabiner is fitted to the end of the Rope to allow free movement along a Horizontal Lifeline without causing wear to its edges which prolongs the lifespan of the Lifeline.
