Max User Weight: 140kg An Adjustable Work Positioning Lanyard is used to protect a person working on an open edge when connected directly to an Anchor point or as part of a Work Restraint System. It works by restraining the wearer from stepping beyond the extent of their safe working area by paying out a length of rope which is held in a locking device. Adjustable Work Positioning Lanyards are designed to hold the user in restraint, so a fall cannot occur. They can only fulfil this function if the wearer adjusts the length of rope to their working position so that the Lanyard is in tension. If too much rope is pulled through the lock the Lanyard will not prevent a fall. The Rope is adjusted to correct length by feeding it through this aluminium block which locks in one direction to prevent the wearer from moving beyond the working zone extent. Typically an Adjustable Work Positioning Lanyard is used when the Anchor point is 2 metres from the open edge and are available up to 20 metres in length, typically for working on industrial roofs. This Adjustable Work Positioning Lanyard kit includes additional components including a Short Restraint lanyard that connects between the Wearers Safety Harness and the Rope Grab Adjuster. This places the adjuster 500mm from the wearer’s harness connection point allowing them to connect and disconnect without assistance. It also includes a large karabiner that runs along a Horizontal Lifeline without wearing the side of the webbing out. APPLICATIONS REINFORCED CONCRETE FRAME Adjustable work positioning lanyards are used when formworkers are laying decking for slabs protected from falling by a temporary work restraint system which comprises Anchor slings wrapped around starter bars and a Temporary horizontal lifeline. This provides a much larger working area than an Alsipercha system which relies on Fall Arrest FACADE & CURTAIN WALL Adjustable work positioning lanyards are used by SFS or Curtain wall installers connected to a Horizontal lifeline for mobility along a 20 metre running-line reducing the time it takes when clipping on and off individual anchor points.
