Description COMPONENT DESCRIPTION Ridge Gear Elasticated Lanyard with Shock Absorber for Fall Arrest. This is a premium quality lanyard manufactured in the UK using 35mm elasticated polyester webbing The shock absorber pack will deploy in the event of a fall limiting the impact force on the user to 6kN. The main benefit of using an elasticated safety lanyard is to reduce the risk of tripping or entanglement because the there is less slack webbing. The aadjustment range of this Lanyard is 1150mm to 1800mm when fitted with a large hook for anchoring to scaffolding and an oval karabiner for connecting to a safety harness. The maximum user weight for this fall arrest lanyard is 100kg. This Fall Arrest Lanyard is accredited to: EN 355:2002 This safety lanyard connects to a full body harness using the connected oval karabiner. At the other end is a large scaffold attachment hook for connecting to anchor points. Elasticated Safety lanyards are designed to be connected to a fixed anchor point , preferably situated above the users head and no further than 25 degrees from it in a horizontal direction. They should not be connected to a Running-Line ( Horizontal Lifeline).
